The Tirupati Balaji Temple’s origins go back more than two millennia, making it one of the oldest surviving temples in India. The magnificent gopurams and gold-covered sanctum are marvels of Dravidian architecture. King Krishnadevaraya of Vijayanagara was among its most generous patrons.
